Kids/Youth Partnerships: Building Strong Foundations Through Mentorship and Adventure
At Southside Vineyard, we’re passionate about helping kids and teens grow in faith, character, and leadership. That’s why we proudly partner with American Heritage Girls (AHG) and Trail Life USA—Christ-centered programs designed to mentor the next generation through meaningful discipleship, outdoor adventure, and servant leadership.

Kids/Youth Ministry: Helping Kids Grow in Faith—One Step at a Time
At Southside Vineyard, we believe kids aren’t just the future of the church—they’re a vital part of it today. That’s why we create a fun, safe, and Spirit-led environment where children can encounter God, build lasting friendships, and grow in their faith every Sunday.
Sunday Morning Classes include Nursery providing loving care for our littlest ones, Class for Ages 5-7 providing Bible stories, worship, and fun, hands-on activities, Class for Ages 8-12 providing interactive lessons, worship, and real faith-building conversations, and Class for Teens providing a space to ask honest questions and grow deeper with God.
Led by caring volunteers, each class is designed to meet kids where they are and help them take the next step in their spiritual journey. We’re here to support your family every step of the way—come as you are and be part of something meaningful for your child!
Ministries for Men and Women
At Southside Vineyard Community Church, we believe in walking alongside one another as we grow in faith and purpose. Our Men’s and Women’s Fellowships provide encouraging spaces where people of all ages can build meaningful relationships, deepen their faith, and live out the calling God has placed on their lives.

Prayer Ministry-A Smithfield House of Prayer Partnership
Our Prayer Ministry is built on the belief that prayer is powerful—a place to meet God, find rest, and experience breakthrough. In partnership with the Smithfield House of Prayer—a ministry focused on unity, prayer, and worship—we gather with the goal of seeing regional transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The prayer times are Spirit-led times of worship, intercession, and quiet stillness in God’s presence. It’s a space where hearts are aligned with heaven, burdens are lifted, and lives are changed. Come as you are, and step into the peace, love, and grace that only God can give.

Bible Study Ministry: Midweek Adult Bible Study
At Southside Vineyard, our midweek Bible study is a place to grow in faith, build genuine community, and explore God’s Word together—no pressure, just honest conversation. Each week, we dive into Scripture to discover its truth and how it applies to our everyday lives. Whether you're new to the Bible or have been studying it for years, you'll find space for real discussions with people from all walks of life who are seeking to grow spiritually.
Led by our pastor or trusted teachers, each session offers insight, encouragement, and space for questions as we learn together. It's a safe, welcoming environment where you can share your thoughts, your journey, and be encouraged by others walking a similar path.
Bible study meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. We take a break during the summer months to host Connection Dinners—casual gatherings in each other's homes to build deeper relationships and fellowship.
Praise and Worship Ministry
Our Praise and Worship Ministry is all about bringing Spirit-filled praise that glorifies God and creates space for people to encounter His presence. Whether through music, song, or behind-the-scenes tech, every part of the team works together to lift up the name of Jesus.
This unified team of vocalists, musicians, and tech volunteers leads the church in worship while managing sound, slides, livestream, and more. Each role plays a vital part in pointing hearts toward Christ. If you have a passion for worship or skills in music or tech, there’s a place for you here!
Partnership: Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater
Saving lives, sparing hearts, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus.
We’re proud to partner with the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater to support life and families in our community. Through efforts like the Baby Bottle Drive and Walk for Life, we help raise funds and awareness for this vital ministry.
Partnership in Missions: Agape Internation Missions
Through our partnership with Agape International Missions, we support the fight against human trafficking. A portion of our tithes goes directly to help rescue, restore, and protect lives impacted by trafficking around the world.
Partnership in Missions: Back to Jerusalem
We partner with Back to Jerusalem by giving a portion of our tithes to support the Chinese church’s mission to evangelize unreached peoples from the eastern provinces of China westwards toward Jerusalem. This movement aims to spread the Gospel along this historic path, fulfilling a powerful vision for global outreach.
Partnership in Ministry: LifeWise Academy
We partner with LifeWise Academy to help bring the Gospel into public schools by supporting an accredited Bible class that students can choose to attend for credit toward graduation. By providing our time and resources, we assist administrators and teachers in serving students and communities. Most importantly, students are being spiritually impacted in ways that can’t be measured.
Partnership in Missions: Samaritans Purse-Operation Christmas Child
The Operation Christmas Child mission shares God’s love with children in need and partners with local churches to spread the Good News of Jesus and make disciples across the nations. We are blessed to be one of those local churches that partner with Samaritan’s Purse by providing shoeboxes which are packed by our troops and the members of our congregation. We also visit packing warehouses to help sort and pray before the boxes are sent worldwide.
Partnership in Ministry: Smithfield Filling Station
In partnership with Smithfield Filling Station, we join a global network of nearly 70 monthly gatherings focused on worship, prayer, spiritual renewal, and sharing the Good News of Jesus. The Filling Station goal is to provide a regular space for teaching, prayer, fellowship, and experiencing the Holy Spirit’s movement as we reach new people with the Gospel of the risen Lord. The Filling Station also seeks to encourage, equip, and inspire believers through prayer and training. Occasionally these meetings are held at Southside Vineyard.
