Matt is such a great "Pastor". He is also a good "teacher". He is also a great "prayer". He is filled with the Holy Spirit! I love our Bible study groups. I like all the extra events we have. Our church is so friendly. God bless it!! - Love, Pat

There are many reasons why Southside Vineyard is and will remain our church home. However, there is one I want to single out, our Pastor Matt Havens. He knows the Bible inside out and backwards. He knows how to preach it and teach it. He is one who truly knows how to pray and does so frequently. He is full of the Holy Spirit and demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit. In this day and age I neither have the time nor the interest to sit under anyone who brings anything less to God's people. - Dean and Susan Nowotny

What we appreciate about Southside Vineyard church is that we are a voice for Jesus Christ to our members by teaching God's Word at Sunday and Wednesday services and at Sunday school, to our community through American Heritage Girls and Trail Life, baby bottles with cash to the Crisis Pregnancy Center, sharing the gospel at the Farmers' Market and downtown during the holidays, and to the world by mission trips to Cuba and Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes filled with supplies to needy children in many countries. -Jim, Kathy Baysore

Friendly people and always a good message.

Coming to SVCC we were looking for something "a bit more." I loved the people of the church we went to before. I was just seeking a bit more, more pressing into God, more seeking His presence, more waiting on Him during worship instead of serving a schedule. I wanted to be with believers who believe the Spirit is present in the believer and body and who treat prayer as a holy endeavor and not a perfunctory act. – Jackie and Tom VanBuren

We've been with the Body for 3 years now.  What we love-we've had some trials, and we haven't always made it to Church, but as soon as we walk in the door people greet us, make us feel the love of Christ, and we never feel ostracized for our lack of attendance on occasion.  Our Pastor is readily available when we need prayer, gives us his time for guidance and counseling and the message he delivers is always guided by the Holy Spirit.  We can walk in feeling our lowest and we're uplifted when we leave. The Body is loving and friendly and will pray with anyone and the elders are such of blessing.  People come up and greet you and it doesn't just feel like lip service, you know you're being seen and appreciated. I enjoy working with the Worship Team and the times I have been available, they have utilized my abilities, and the worship director Laurie, and her lead, Suzanne, are so moved by the Holy Spirit, and He is always invited and  welcomed into our worship. It goes beyond this though, there are evening classes, nights of praise and worship,  get togethers for fellowship which contributes to growth and continuity and preparing us for Missionary Work to which we're all called to as God leads. We have felt loved and included in all the events we have attended and this has been invaluable to our walk with God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.- Kathi and Bob Hildebrandt

Southside Vineyard is one of the most welcoming, friendly, genuine churches I have ever attended. The pastor hears from God and shepherds his people with the heart of the Father. We are not perfect, but then again if we were we would not need Jesus or His body. We are imperfectly perfect in His eyes.

I love being a small part of this Bible based church; the spirit of the Lord is truly here.  Pastor Havens can genuinely make you feel and absorb the message he is delivering for your soul. Our Wednesday night Bible studies have explained many scriptures which allow a better understanding of our God's word and how we can be better examples to the world of his grace.  Serving the Lord whether it be by assisting in the kitchen or on Mission trips has enlightened my soul.  I know now that I am worthy of his Blessings.  This church family is most welcoming, come join us and let the Spirit speak to you also. – Rebecca Gaddy
